Rob Player - Managing Director

For the past 22 years Robert has been a town planning consultant with DFP and in July 1996 was appointed Managing Director of the company. Rob holds a Masters Degree in Town and Country Planning from Sydney University. He is a Certified Practicing Planner, a corporate member of the Planning Institute of Australia and is also a member of the Property Council of Australia and Urban Development Institute of Australia.

Rob started his career in urban and regional planning as a cadet at the State Planning Authority of NSW (now the Department of Planning), whilst studying at university and now has 35 years experience as a town planner in private consultancy, Local Councils and State Government.

Besides being the Managing Director of DFP (one of the largest independent town planning consultancies in New South Wales) for the past 12 years, Rob welcomes the challenges of managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams and providing specialist town planning advice for large complex projects. Rob also enjoys appearing as an expert witness in the NSW Land & Environment Court.

Rob lives with his family on Sydney's northern beaches and enjoys surfing and overseas travel. Rob is a keen rugby supporter.
